Position Summary
As a software development intern at Epic, you'll take ownership of a meaningful and challenging project that will help shape the future of healthcare. You'll be mentored by brilliant colleagues, collaborate with fellow interns, and accomplish something that you can be proud of. We'll make sure you have the background and tools you need to succeed, but you'll hit the ground running and own your project in its entirety - from gaining an understanding of your users' needs to handling design, development, testing, and documentation. We'll give you a lot to do, and we'll expect you to deliver something great.The software we create directly improves the way 75% of Americans receive healthcare - in fact, it's likely that you'll be affecting the life of someone close to you. You'll need to take your work seriously, but that doesn't mean you'll have to take yourself too seriously (having fun is part of our mission). You'll find a rare combination of intellectually demanding and interesting projects that contribute to the greater good, allowing you to find true fulfillment in what you do.More than just important work.Epic is located in Madison, Wisconsin, a city regularly ranked as one of America's best places to live.
